Nadat zijn huurbeurt aan Valencia CF was uitgedraaid op een fiasco, keerde Michy Batshuayi afgelopen winter terug naar de Premier League. De Rode Duivel tekende op de slotdag van de mercato een huurovereenkomst bij Crystal Palace. Maar ook daar zijn zijn prestaties ondanks een wisselvallige start erg wisselvallig.
In zijn tweede wedstrijd voor Palace scoorde Batshuayi nog met een gelukje en ook vorig weekend tegen Burnley was hij doeltreffend. Verder kon hij nog niet echt overtuigen op Selhurst Park. Ook zaterdagmiddag tegen Brighton (1-2-nederlaag) begon hij in de basis, maar Batshuayi tekende voor een bleke partij en toonde zich amper gevaarlijk. Op de sociale media worden de supporters van Palace dan ook ongeduldig: wanneer krijgen ze de 'echte Batshuayi' eindelijk te zien?
