Kompany schrijft geschiedenis: "In januari 2025 naar Man City"

Vincent Kompany heeft de criticasters flink de mond gesnoerd. De Belgische trainer heeft vandaag na 39 van de 46 speeldagen Burnley al verzekerd van promotie naar de Premier League. Een zeer knappe prestatie van 'Vince the Prince'. Op Twitter is er dan ook terecht veel lof voor onze landgenoot.

Kompany, die geschiedenis schreef door al zeven matchen voor het einde de promotie te verzekeren waardoor hij een record verbrak, koos afgelopen zomer voor Burnley toen bleek dat binnen Anderlecht het bestuur toch niet meer het volle vertrouwen had in hem. Een miskleun van het toenmalige Brusselse bestuur en Burnley sloeg zijn slag. Kompany kreeg de sleutels in handen en maakte van Burnley een ware machine.
